Video Editing
In video editing you will need a video editing software package. Most the video editing software include 3 main parts : capture, editing and convertion.
Capture : this part will used when you import your video footage from your camcorder. (see capture page for detail...)
Editing : This is the main part of your video editing software and used for
- Rearranging, adding, removing parts of your video and audio clips.
- Applying colour correction, filters and other enhancements.
- Creating transitions between clips.
- Creating the title
- Apply some animations

All that means is, how your video look like after sharing, depends on how you edit your video.
Convertion : In this part, after you edit your video file you will need to export it into another format.
Scanning
Some video editing sofware do scan by content automatically when capture video from camcoder. This is the options provided by your editing software. You can select or unselect this option before start capture. For me, I always select this option because it help me much when i want to remove unwanted scan and create a flow. Other software provide the scan option when you getting import your video to the time line. (One scan = Start recording untill you stop recording when you shoot the moments)
Selecting the scans
After scanning your video divided into many scans or footages. Remove the unwanted ones and left the wanted ones to improove your whole video quality.
Creating a flow
The purpose of video is telling a story and provide information to audience. Move the scan to other place along the time line in the same layer or other layer if needed, so your your video flow naturaly from start untill the end, clearly and easy to understand and not confusing the audience. Create the flow is the important part in editing your video, so do it patiently and explore your creatifity to meet the purpose of your video.
If the 3 steps above finish, your job done halfway. The rest job purpose are doing some enhancements.
Create Title and comment.
When create title or comments, it’s should match to your video content. Pay attention to the type, size, color and animation of fonts so it’s look nice and comfort to the background. Marking your video at the start and at the end with title, it’ ok. Especially in video that provide information or report, the title or comments are important part.
Transition
Avoid to apply transition effect in between every scans it will make your video cheaper and not professional. If needed just apply fade transition. For example, apply it in between scans that changing the location and the theme or topic, between night and day. As experience as you are, you will noticed where you should apply the transition effects.
Music or other audio background
Any kind of music or audio background you want to add to your video should match to the content of your video. Explore your imagination and feel it. Is the music match to the kind of situation on your video content? So that why you should deeply understand the kind of situation of video content.
Then your job is finish for editing. The next process is sharing, where you determine how you share your video.
